Jinotepe: Recreation and Vocational Training

The Jinotepe campus includes facilities for the recreation of the children (and visiting teams) as well as a facility for vocational training. The photos on this page, taken in May of 2006, show the swimming pool under construction, along with the changing and shower facilities. The campus also includes a cement court that is used both for basketball and for soccer, and a playground with playground equipment in the center of the homes.

Also pictured is the vocational training facility, which was nearing completion at the time the photos were taken. This facility includes three separate areas, one for carpentry; one for electrical repair; and one for automobile repair. The structure is designed so that an automobile can be driving into the shop and jacked up for repair work.
