Juan is a very sensible and realistic young man. He has always been dependable and does what is asked of him. He realizes and appreciates the opportunities he has been given through Arms of Love and does not take them for granted. He is working very hard to keep his scholarship and also tutors his friend in math to earn some extra money.

Although he lives in Managua, he takes every opportunity to come to Jinotepe and visit the kids. He is a great role model to all the children. He spends time playing soccer with the younger kids and playing guitar with the older boys.
