Where We Work
Arms of Love is caring for abused and abandoned children in Nicaragua and the Philippines. Get a quick picture of our work below.
In Nicaragua, over half of the population lives in extreme poverty and lives without access to clean water, electricity, education, and medical care. Nicaragua is the second poorest country in the Americas after Haiti.
Arms of Love has been receiving children into our Nicaragua home since April 2000. Our children live on a 20-acre property in Jinotepe (an hour south of Managua) that will ultimately include four homes (three have been completed), each accommodating 10-12 children, a houseparent couple and one support staff—for a total of up to 50 children.

The Arms of Love Children’s Home is on the island of Bohol, about an hour south of Manila by air. One of the poorest regions in the Philippines, Bohol has over one million residents living in an economy that depends primarily on fishing, agriculture and tourism. We have been receiving children here since January 2001.
Our property is located on about 5 acres of functional farm land in Lourdes, near Tagbilaran City, and includes four homes, each accommodating 10-12 children, a houseparent couple and one support staff—for a total capacity of up to 50 children.

God has graciously and powerfully led us in this ministry, revealing his heart for specific countries, blessing relationships, and directing us to partners around the world who share our vision, our heart, and our values. We understand that this is His ministry, not ours. We do our best to watch for what God is doing through Arms of Love and to follow obediently!
We don’t know what the ministry of Arms of Love will look like in five or ten years, but we can say with confidence that it will reflect His plan and purpose.
